PE and Sport Premium
At St Marys Academy, Physical Education is an integral part of our curriculum that is inclusive and engages all pupils. We want children to be inspired and develop a lifelong passion for Sport and Physical Activity. Children develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to excel in a broad range of sports and physical activities. We aim to deliver high-quality teaching and learning opportunities that enables all children to achieve their personal best.
St Mary's use a programme called Complete PE. Complete P.E. is an interactive Physical Education resource designed to support the implementation of a High Quality Physical Education Curriculum. It helps with the School to meets its Ofsted Requirements.
We provide a range of sports clubs to engage children in physical/Active lifestyles. These can be sports such as Football and Basketball through to Table tennis and Archery.
At St Marys Academy we have been award the Gold Award in School Games Mark. We have been
Award this mark 2 years running. We are aiming to continue this for 2 more years until we can apply
for the Platinum Award.
The PE and Sport Premium provides an excellent opportunity for the school to further improve its PE
provision and to do so in the wider context of the Forest Heath Schools Partnership.
