Artwork Inspired by Alan M. Hunt
We looked at some beautiful pencil drawings of animals by the artist and photographer Alan M. Hunt. We identified the features of his work - light and dark, shading, different tyoes of lines. We then experimented with different types of pencil to see how we could make different tones. We then had a go at using drawing techniques to show different textures.
In the afternoon, the children used their new skills to complete a picture of their favourite animal. They looked really carefully at the patterns and shading that they could see.
