Our Design & Technology unit this half term was cooking, focusing on adapting a recipe. We began by following a recipe to make an Egyptian style flat bread. Then we tested some existing products (cheese bread, garlic and coriander naan, cinnamon and raisin bagel) and thought about how we could change the flavour of our Egyptian bread. The children then thought about what they would like to add to their bread and where they would add the new ingredients (whilst making the dough, kneading into the dough or placing on top of the dough).
Finally, we made and tasted our adapted bread.
